Verizon iPhone 4: Releasing Early Next Month

At the Verizon Event today, CEO and President of Verizon Lowell McAdams, alongside Apple’s COO Tim Cook announced the launch of iPhone 4 on Verizon’s Network. According to Lowell McAdams, the network will be capable of handling the enormous amounts of data that will be used by iPhone 4 users on the Verizon network. Verizon has been monitoring it’s network over a long period of time and have been able to proudly explain that they are ready for this launch. Their network, which is capable of handling such data loads.

The Verizon iPhone will cost $199.99 for 16GB, $299.99 for 32GB along side a 2-year contract. In the Verizon Event today, Verizon’s Lowell McAdams stated:

We welcome this game changing device to our network and to the Verizon family. We are confident wireless consumers everywhere will welcome this device.

The Verizon iPhone will be available to Verizon [Only] Customers on February 3- preorders will be taken online. And for non-Verizon customers, the iPhone 4 will be available on February 10; online and in Apple & Verizon Stores.

iOS4: How to unlock with iPhone iOS4

With the iOS4 software being out to all iPhone/iPod touch users out there, unlocking the iPhone is also now possible. Before you can unlock your iPhone though, you will have to jailbreak it beforehand. The tool used for jailbreaking the iOS4 software is available for both MAC and Windows users through the redsn0w tool.

Ultrasn0w has been updated to the latest version making unlocking possible. The Ultrasn0w verison 0.9.3 is available via the Cydia stores using repo, repo666.ultrasn0w.com. In order to add a repo, a user must first go to the store and add it as a new repository.

Please be aware that the Cydia store will only be available to users who have jailbroken their iPhone first. Happy Unlocking!

iOS4: How To Create Folders on iPhone 4

As many of you are aware, the much awaited iOS4 update for the Apple iPhones, and iPod touches are available to download through iTunes on the Apple website. While there are many benefits in this version of IOS4, creating folders makes browsing and looking through folders in a more organized fashion. The idea of including folders in the Apple devices is a really great idea and it allows individuals to easily access their apps by knowing which app is contained in which folder.

Creating folders on the iPhone 4 and other Apples devices is quite simple through following the easy process listed below. In order to create a folder, one should click and hold the wanted app on the screen until it all the apps start shaking. Next, one should select the apps they want and then drag those aps to drop it into another app that you want to put in a folder. This process can be continued until you have put all apps in want in which ever folder you prefer. If you want to create another folder, then just go through and select your wanted apps again and sort them as preferred. This folder feature proves especially useful to those people who constantly work with many different apps on their Apple devices.

iOS4: How To Multitask on iPhone 4

The much awaited iOS4 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch is officially available to all Apple users. While most software update will work with the some iPod Touches, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS, multi-tasking is one of the greatest features available to Apple users. Thanks to Steve Jobs and Apple, multitasking is a very easy feature that allows individuals to run more than one app and switch through different apps when needed. The use of multitasking on the Apple devices is very advantageous to many users.

Multitasking is not difficult on the apple devices; one just has to double tap on the home button when an app is open in order to bring up new apps to choose from at the bottom of the screen. This is feature is similar to our laptop/desktop computer features as we are able to listen to music while playing a game, checking our e-mail, or browsing the internet. One can scroll through the apps by shifting it to the right and/or left of the screen.

Once one has clicked on the app they want, they can seamlessly witch between current and previous apps they choose to multitask with. Closing an app is also easily, just press and hold the icon and then click on the hyphen, or (-) minus symbol that appears in the corner of the icon to remove it from the multitasking bar. We should all thank Steve Jobs for such a wonderful addition to our Apple devices. Now we just can’t wait until the iPhone 4 arrives at our doorsteps!

iPhone 4: Multi-tasking

It has been only two days since Apple has announced their new iPhone 4 in the WWDC keynote on June 7^th. While the iPhone 4 phone encompasses many great features, one feature which will be very useful to many users is the multitasking feature. Now, multi-tasking on the iPhone had been announced earlier, however this is a very useful feature that is only available on the iPhone . With the iPhone 4 phone using retina display, one is using a sharper than ever display in the iPhone. There is a lot which iPhone 4 users will be able to do and enjoy using the iPhone 4 with a smarter approach to multitasking. It will provide users with the following benefits:

One can switch between apps just as quickly, allowing one to focus on more than one at once. Clicking the home button on the iPhone 4 will allow users to see the most recent used apps.
Apps will remember where you left off when you get back on; letting you go back to that same point.
And of course, you can always have music in the background letting you listen to music while you are browsing a site, or using an app.
You can receive VoIP calls while you are using other apps. This includes third-party apps such as Skype and VoIP.
Furthermore, one can also keep a GPS app running while listening to music or browising social networking apps.
Once can also receive push and local notifications and be able to complete tasks in the background.

WWDC 2010 Video Chat: Face Time

At the WWDC 2010 keynote, Steve Jobs introduced the calling feature we now know as Face Time. The feature allows picture in picture video calling and is accomplished with the front facing camera on the iPhone 4 device. The Face Time feature is available only over Wifi in 2010 from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4. According to Jobs, many cellular providers will need to work a bit with that.

Facetime is based on many open standards such as: h.264, AAC, SIP, STUN, TURN, ICE, RTP, SRTP. Apple is planning on going to standards body by tommoro in order to make Face time an open industry standard.

As it is stated by Steve Jobs, even we agree that this IS the biggest leap since the original iPhone. Cannot wait to get my iPhone 4; they come in two colors, white and black. The iPhone 4 will be going on sale starting June 24- that is when preorders will be taken. AT&T will price the iPhone 4 phone with contract for $199,16 gb and $299, 32 gb.

During the WWDC 2010 keynote today, Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone, known as iPhone 4 and its new operation system, iOS 4.

At the WWDC keynote, jobs disclosed the new specs of the iPhone 4 (comes in two colors-white and black), with over 100 new features. The new thin look of the iphone 4, with scratch resistance glass, slim steel interface, and enhanced two faced cameras. With more improved technical specs, iOS4 allows has the following features:

higher resolution artwork
multitasking abilities
folders for apps
retina display enhancement with a much more defined sharp look with326 ppi
unified inbox for email
threaded messages, pdf attachments
iMovie,
iAds
;and many, many more new features.

The iOS4 upgrades for iPhone 3gS, iphone 3G, and iPod touch will be available for download at the Apple website on June 21, 2010. Keep in mind that not all features will be supported on all devices and some will not support first generation iPod touches.

WWDC LIVE 2010: iPhone 4 Thinnest smart Phone ever!

Steve Jobs is up in WWDC 2010 conference explaining the new features included in the new iPhone 4. This is reported known as the thinnest smart phone as of yet on the planet. Being the thinnest, it has two cameras- one face front and in the back.

It is impressively thin, with retina display. He compares the previous display vs. the new retina display in the iPhone exclaiming how the display is way better and sharper then before. The iPhone 4g phone itself, contains a 5 mega pixel camera with 326 ppi. It features a GPS, GSM, UMTS, and a one sided blue tooth. The iPhone 4 is composed of stainless steel for its strength and scratch resistance glass for optical quality.

There are more than 100 new features on the iPhone. As mentioned before, this is indeed a not to be disappointed invention by Apple as of today. It has external buttons: volume up, down, mute, front face camera, micro-sim tray, and a camera on the front and camera on back with LED flash.

WWDC June 2010: iBooks New Features!

New features and products, as mentioned in previous posts are going to discussed and highlighted during the WWDC June 2010 event that is being hosted right now by Steve Jobs. Many reporters, bloggers, and news people have crowded into the building to discuss the new product launches. In the WWDC 10 event held today, Steve Jobs announced the fact that the iBook’s app has been a success for since the launch of the iPad. More than 2 million iPads have been sold all world wide. There have been many new features that people have noted to be included with the iBooks app that they would want correlated.

This is why Apple has listened. Steve Jobs dicusses with us that iBooks has been revolutionized. With about 2.5 books per iPad downloaded, Apple has enhanced the following features into the iBooks apps.

They include the following:

In-line notes (similar to post-it notes) which makes reading easier for many folks
Now there is the ability to view and slect PDF’s inside of the iBooks
One can also navigate PDF works in the similar format of iBooks

Steve Jobs finally introduces . . . . the iPhone 4!!! With over 100 new features and not enough time to discuss all. What we all have been waiting for, Steve Jobs assures us all that no one will be disappointed. There are 8 features of the iPhone which Steve Jobs will be discussing.

The first feature is THE LOOK:

It is about 9.3 mm thick

24% thinner than the current iphone, so its thinner!!

Its known as thinnest smartphone on the planet. It has external buttons: volume up, down, mute, front face camera, micro-sim tray, camer on back with LED flash.

Headphone jack on top, second mic fro noise cancellation, sleep and wake button,and three black seams. This is indeed a creation that is not disappointing to any of us. Uses brilliant engineering, the iPhone 4 has the following features: GPS, GSM, UMTS, and a one side Blue tooth. It takes use of stainless steel for strength and glass for optical quality. It is scratch resistance.

Feature 3:

Iphone 4 is powered by the Apple A4 chip which is VERY small and designed by Apple’s own team.

It uses dual mics and 802.11n

Feature 4:

Contains gyroscope, 3 axis

Gyro + accelerometer = 6 axis motion sensing
