iOS4 is the new name of iPhone OS 4

iOS4 is the new name of iPhone OS 4. Jobs recently announced this during the WWDC 2010 event,along with the new iPhone 4 phone. iPhone OS 4 will be known as iOS4 from now on.

The lowercase “i” is traditionally used by Apple on all their gadgets. This includes iPhone, iPad, and iPod, so it makes sense for Apple to name it “iOS4″ and not confuse others. I look forward to seeing iOS4.

iOS 4 release date has not been announced yet. Multi-tasking, folders, and a lot more features are included in iOS 4.
