Hi dont update to OS 3.1.3 it’s very hard to jailbrake this version just wait till 3.1.4 cydia and blacra1n will also w8 till new update ,so if u update to 3.1.3 u will just to w8 for a good firmware jailbrake cheers

For 3gs I agree with you ,
buy for 3g 3.1.3 old bootrom snowbreeze can be used and I have used it .
Even on 3gs if you are on old bootrom (which is very rare and is only on NON MC models) it is possible to jailbreak with snowbreeze

there is no jailbreak for 3.1.3 and there will not be the dev team is waiting for 4.0 to come out to jailbreak that (which is coming out in september 2010). The only difference between 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 is a very rare battery problem with 3g ipod touch on 3.1.3 and it isnt jailbreakable.

but for 3g 3.1.3 you can use snowbreeze
