Do you have too many iPhone apps on your iPhone screen? You will find the Expose app useful. It allows you to see previews of all your pages, all in one screen and select which page you want to go to.

Expose iPhone App

Steven Troughton-Smith, developer of the Stacks application has made an application called Expose for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This application is compatible with iPhone 3.1.2, and iPhone 3.1 firmware.  It’s currently in beta, but Steven let me try it out. It worked perfectly on my iPhone 3GS! A screenshot of the Expose app can be seen in the above image. A video demo of the Expose app in action is in the YouTube video below.

I love this application! It works fine, saves you some time from scrolling back and forth too much, and does not lag at all. I’m surprised Apple never included this feature in the iPhone. Currently Steven Troughton-Smith is working on making this application faster, and he has not yet decided a release date for this. The name for this application is currently Expose but it will be changed to a different name once it’s released. This application will only be available on jailbroken iPhones. You can follow the development of this on Steven’s blog at http://blog.steventroughtonsmith.com or follow him on twitter (@stroughtonsmith). Are you looking foward to the release of this application? What are your thoughts on this? For me, this is one of those apps that I believe it’s worth jailbreaking for!

Update: The Expose app is now called Orbit. It is available in the Cydia Store now for $1.99!

What will happen when you sync with iTunes? Will the new iTunes version mess this up when sync’ed? I know people have experienced problems using the 5 column springboard and 5 icon dock.

how can i uninstall rock and cydia

    • United States RPai from New Jersey, United States says:

I know how to uninstall Cydia, but I don’t know how to uninstall Rock. I have not even experienced using Rock.

This method to uninstall Cydia will NOT uninstall the packages you installed using Cydia. Then you can reinstall Cydia at any time (If you used blackra1n, and you kept the blackra1n app installed, you can reinstall Cydia using the blackra1n app. Otherwise, you have to restore to a Pwnage custom firmware IPSW, and install Cydia, having all the packages that were installed erased, so I reccomend Installing and running PkgBackUp (install by tapping the link: cydia://package/com.pragmatixconsulting.packagebackup
on your iPhone.) before you uninstall Cydia if in this case, so that you don’t have to go searching for the packages again to reinstall them.)

      This is the method:
      Step 1. Open Cydia.
      Step 2. Tap Manage.
      Step 3. Tap Packages.
Step 4. Tap apt 0.7 key.
      Step 5. Tap uninstall.
Step 6. Tap Back to Cydia.
Step 7. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3.
Step 8. If apt 0.6 Transitional is there tap on it, and continue on Step 9 through Step 11. Otherwise skip to Step 12.
      Step 9. Tap Uninstall.
Step 10. Tap Back to Cydia.
Step 11. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3.
      Step 12. Tap APR.
      Step 13. Tap Uninstall.
Step 14. Tap Back to Cydia.
Step 15. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3.

There might be a duplicate of APR. If there is, repeat Step 12 through Step 15. Otherwise just continue on Step 16.

Step 16. If APR-util is there, tap on it. Otherwise, skip to Step 20.

      Step 17. Tap Uninstall.
Step 18. Tap Back To Cydia.
Step 19. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3.
      Step 20. Tap Cydia Installer.
      Step 21. Tap Uninstall.
Step 22. Tap Close Cydia (Restart).

Now you should not see Cydia on your Home Screen. If you do see Cydia, the uninstall was not succesful.

Really looking forward to this app.
    Keep up.

  6. Australia Monkey from South Australia, Australia says:

This app is not needed. if you jailbroken your iPhone, just get categories. I put all my apps i dont use so often into folders, games into another folder and cydia, winterboard, installous and app store into another folder. i only have 1 page.

    • Germany Mainstreamdirector from Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany says:

While Categories may be a nice tool, it is slow, because every folder is an application.

It uses to much RAM and you have to wait much too long.

It is only useful for programs you dont use often.

  7. Saudi Arabia bong from Ar Riyad, Saudi Arabia says:

    lots of…

  8. United Arab Emirates Junaid from Dubai, United Arab Emirates says:

I have already unlocked, Jail broken Iphon 3G with software version 2.2 (5G77), Modem Firmware 02.28.00. Please guide me how I can upgrade to unlocked, jailbreak 3.2.1 software version.

    • Canada Wayne Cunningham from Ontario, Canada says:

If I were you I would stay with 2.2 or upgrade to 3.0 but don’t use itunes! It will upgrade to 3.1.3 and the phone part of iPhone will be unusable due to rewrite of the baseband. You can use blacksn0w (dev-team jailbreak) and blackra1n to unlock but not on OS 3.1.3.

      Hope this helps

  9. how can i customize the time/date/battery meter?

  10. United States rfz3 from Pennsylvania, United States says:

yes categories’ folders take long to load but you really dont even have to open them just use the spotlight seach and it will bring up the app without all the loading even hidden apps that you have turned off. I like to keep my apps nice and tidy I also have just one page and i never open the folders. i just search which one i want to use.

  11. United States James from Georgia, United States says:

Auesome it works i got rock and cydia sweet
